Our Energy Efficient Upgrade package involves replacing halogen style or incandescent lighting with new style LED lighting.
Some facts to consider when asking whether or not you should upgrade to LED:
- LED lights operate much cooler than incandescent and halogen lamps which greatly increases their longevity and enables them to function better in colder temperatures
- Unless an LED is specifically infrared or ultraviolet, it produces little to no IR or UV radiation which can be damaging to fabrics and artwork
- The power consumption of LED lighting is the lowest in comparison to all other lighting technologies – up to 80% less than incandescent bulbs and 75% less than halogen bulbs
- Our recommended brand of downlight has a life expectancy of 30,000 hours usage compared to 2000-4000 hours for halogen and only 750-2000 hours for incandescent
- LEDS contain no mercury, harmful gasses or toxins.
